This is the day we have been waiting for! The day we get off the waiting list and into the world of having a referral. We were referred a most beautiful baby boy - born December 20, 2007. He comes from the Southern part of Ethiopia and has the biggest, almond shaped eyes you can imagine.

We can't post pictures until he is officially ours; nor can we share his name. But we will call him Baby M.

We are so excited!!!!!!!!!!!

Court date

Our court date is set for December 17th. This means that we find out one of two things: 1. More waiting... or 2. a travel date. We are keeping our fingers crossed for number 2 so we can bring our boy home! The waiting is the hardest part.

Why Ethiopia?

Why Ethiopia? People are curious as to why we chose to adopt our child from Ethiopia. David & I wanted to go where there was the most need for us and where there were many many more children in need of parents. Once we started reading about Ethiopia, the statistics about the orphan crisis were alarming.
